Bill is the co-founder, along with his wife Donna Morris, of Winderlea Vineyard and Winery in Oregon's Dundee Hills. Winderlea produces Pinot noir, Chardonnay, rosé, and sparkling wine and in 2020 celebrated its 15th harvest. Winderlea farms three vineyards totaling over 60 acres Biodynamic® and has achieved Demeter certification for two of the three to date. Winderlea's winemaking is also Demeter certified Biodynamic®. In 2015, Winderlea became the second winery in Oregon (behind REX HILL / A to Z) and the fourth in the world to achieve B Corp certification. The B Corp slogan is, "People Using Business as a Force for Good," and it is seen as a holistic sustainability certification. Bill is a former chair of the Oregon Wine Board and a past president of the Oregon Winegrowers Association.
