Dr. Elizabeth Savory is a plant pathologist who manages the Plant Health and Seed Programs at the Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA). The Plant Health program focuses on safeguarding Oregon from invasive plant pests and diseases by providing diagnostic services and testing, surveying for regulated pathogens, and providing outreach and education to both industry stakeholders and the general public. Prior to joining ODA, she was a post-doctoral fellow at Oregon State University where she did research on the evolution of plant pathogenic bacteria. She has a PhD in Plant Pathology from Michigan State University and a BS in Plant Science from Cornell University.
