Kayt Mathers is the Founder of Play Nice Communications, a boutique public relations company based in Portland, Oregon. Kayt began her career in wine distribution and retail in New York City before joining Teuwen Communications, where she coordinated campaigns and events for restaurants, wine brands and wine regions. She joined First Press Public Relations in 2011, managing communications and activations for clients like California Wine Month, New York Wines, Cider Week, and Aquavit, among others. In 2015, Kayt moved back home to Oregon and started Play Nice with the goal of working with independent companies in the food, beverage and travel space. The agency has orchestrated successful campaigns for restaurants large and small, regional wine organizations, wine and food brands, travel entities, and wine auctions. She has a Level 3 Award in Wines from the Wine & Spirits Education Trust and is fluent in French and Spanish.
