Rob Schultz is the vineyard manager for Lemelson Vineyards, a family farmer, and co-chair of the Oregon Organic Viticulture Technical Group. He has been growing premium wine grapes for nearly 20 years.

After growing up in Iowa, he led an exciting life of mysterious adventure before finding himself picking grapes in the South of France in 2002. After winemaking school in Catalonia and then six years of working at some of the best vineyards in California, he moved to Oregon in 2008, where he’s been happily working behind the scenes, trying to grow the best grapes possible.

At Lemelson, Rob farms 130 acres of Oregon Tilth certified organic vineyards on five locations in three AVAs in the North Willamette Valley. When he’s not working, he’s either parenting his children or shepherding their strange flock of highly evolved sheep in the Oregon Coast Range.
