Jess has contributed to wine education in Oregon for 20 years. Currently, she serves on the Board of Directors and Education Committee for AHIVOY. Jess has worked as an on-farm research coordinator and instructor of viticulture at Oregon State University. She has developed and taught viticulture, winemaking, and wine sensory classes for the Wine Studies program at Chemeketa Community College. Jess served as the Director of Agricultural Sciences and Wine Studies at Chemeketa Community College until 2020. Currently, Jess is coordinating a USDA Beginning Farmer and Rancher Development grant with Chemeketa and OSU in hopes of developing and enhancing training and resources for future farm businesses in the Willamette Valley. Jess is passionate about education and workforce development that improves lives and communities.
