A changing climate and increased mechanization in vineyards has increased the options available to viticulturists when addressing leaf pulling. Dr. Patricia Skinkis will present current research from Oregon on the implications of timing and new practices on fruit quality and style. Dr. Stefano Poni will summarize the principles of early leaf removal and present modalities to achieve full and partial mechanization of this important vineyard practice.
